LAKE CHARLES, La.—Alfred Miller Contracting, a local industrial and commercial contractor, has committed to a $15,000 sponsorship for the Chennault International Airshow, which is set for April 28-30, 2017, at Chennault International Airport.

The sponsorship will be dedicated to Vampire Airshows, which will bring the de Havilland Vampire aircraft to Lake Charles. The aircraft was first manufactured in 1952 and was the first to cross the Atlantic by jet. The family-friendly Airshow will also feature a nostalgic array of aircraft of all vintages and kids activities.

Alfred Miller Contracting began as a regional masonry contractor in Southwest Louisiana, and has grown into a nationwide contractor for industrial and commercial construction projects. The business is a recognized authority in steel fireproofing, buildings, and precast.

The Chennault International Airshow is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Proceeds from the Airshow go to support and promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education in Southwest Louisiana.
