Alfred Miller Contracting adds the National Fireproofing Contractors Association (NFCA) accreditations to their long list of certifications in intumescent and spray-applied fireproofing. The rigorous accreditation process requires having at least two years of experience installing products, installation of at least 20 projects, certification stating that the contractor has received product training by a product supplier, and has been installing that supplier’s product for at least two years.

The Contractor Accreditation Program was created by NFCA to improve the quality and accuracy of installing Spray-Applied Fire Resistive Materials (SFRM) and Intumescent Fire Resistive Materials (IFRM) by contractors.

The key components of this program are:

  • Contractor Qualification
  • Designated Training
  • Individual Examination
  • Program Fees and License Agreement
  • Continuous Contractor Education
  • NFCA Seal of Accreditation

Additional qualifications are required for NFCA contractor certification.

“As America’s leader in steel fireproofing, we are a proud member of the National Fireproofing Contractors Association’s (NFCA) Contractor Accreditation Program. The NFCA is an industry organization whose aim is to develop standard practices and quality assurance procedures for the application of intumescent and cementitious passive fire protection materials.

Alfred Miller Contracting’s accreditation by the NFCA provides additional validation of our extensive history and experience at the forefront of fireproofing application processes and methodologies, while maintaining our commitment to continuous contractor education.”
